Buddy the Snowboarding Dog
Chill Factore, has launched a new snowboarding school for dogs, proving that you can teach an old dog can learn new tricks!
Home to the longest indoor real snow slope in the UK, skiers and snowboarders get their adrenaline fix at Chill Factore, and now the snow attraction has made snowboarding pet friendly, so that dogs can experience the thrills of the slope too.
By extending their offering with dog dedicated lessons, Chill Factore have got dogs and their owners excited, livening up life for a man and his best friend. Forget muddy walks and games of ‘fetch’, dog snowboarding is the new way to get tales wagging as Chill Factore welcome canine friends to enjoy real snow.
On 1st April 2017, special guest Buddy, the Newfoundland, was the first snowboarding dog to complete the run.
Ryan Cooper, snowboarding instructor at Chill Factore, said: “The feedback we’ve had from our furry friends about the course has been great, with the four-legged participants going barking mad for the snowboarding sessions.
“Snowboarding is a fun activity for the whole family and here at Chill Factore, we don’t want dogs to miss out on the fun and thrills of the slope. We’ve been really impressed with the dogs, noticing great progress in their confidence and ability throughout the lesson. Perhaps dog snowboarding will make it to the Olympics one day!”
